Playboy's catcalling flow chart.

I haven't gotten a new clock in a while... this mushroom clock is super cute!

I love these images of an old house in California taken by Thread and Bones.

This cute butt club garland is, well, full of cute butts.

+ Grilling steak, volcano style.
+ This marmot is too cute!
+ Apparently all of us ladies should attend the Smile Bitch Training Camp.
+ I'm always happy to find that there are other immature ladies out there.
+ A great perspective on priorities in life.

Happy Friday!!! And happy Labor Day weekend!

The Cat Life - 7

Tuesday, August 26

I moved things around on my desk to allow the cats more space to sit in front of the window, since they seemed to just shove everything out of their way anyway. Then I set up a box below the window, just to see what would happen. Well, cats love boxes, as we all know, so you can guess what happened. I also tried putting my yoga mat out in the living room and the boys were drawn to it like magnets. Anyone who has roaming pets knows that it's impossible to work out at home without interruption or curious stares. I guess I'll just stick to the carpet.

Every week I go through my photos and I find that I have taken so many of these two. I'll never get tired of it though, and I hope you'll never get tired of seeing them!

P.S. Why hasn't anyone made a shirt yet that says "My cats have an internet following"?

Week in Photos: Week 34

The fanciest fruit punch that I ever did see from a kid's lemonade stand.

This week's graze box is all kinds of YES PLEASE.

Joy's chocolate dipped peanut butter cookies, sans topping.

I grew a dinosaur!

Pineapple pork tacos and a pork burrito... mmmmmm.

A lovely little package from Kaylah full of my favorite candy and some Lloyd stickers!

Why are cats always so curious about the groceries?

I made muesli!

Now THAT is a proper breakfast.

Those two.

My parents brought us chocolate from France. And these amazing butter biscuits. Made even better with Nutella!

There's a cat on my mail.

Our favorite local brew pub.

We finally have a couch! Except it's a kids' bed frame. With couch cushions. Practically the same thing.

Now all we need is a new dining table...

Made a quick visit to my family's house in New Jersey.

My sister is going to hate me for posting this, but she makes the best Squidward face.

Turf & Surf with the whole family!

I hope you had an awesome week!!
Mine was busier than I thought because I had a lot more photos than I remember taking.

Farmer's Market 2014, Trip #9

Saturday, August 23

This Wednesday, I opted to sleep in a little later than usual and then go for a brisk trail walk after work, so I ended up skipping the farmer's market and going Friday morning instead. The produce always looks so good, and it's difficult to pick out what I want for the week without getting too much and letting things spoil. Does anyone else have this problem? Since I only go to the market once a week, I want to make sure to have enough produce to last the whole week, but I've found there's a fine line between just enough, and slightly too much. Sometimes the vegetables start to get soft before I use them all, or some of the berries grow moldy before I have a chance to enjoy them. Either I have to purchase less, or just be more conscious of what I have around when I'm cooking meals at night!

This week I bought: a sweet onion, cherry tomatoes, red potatoes, strawberries, little carrots, zucchini, and some italian and kielbasa sausages (not pictured).

And because I always love seeing other bloggers' photos of what's really going on...

...sometimes the dining table just has a bunch of stuff piled on it and you're too lazy to clear it off so you have to use the floor instead. It was like a mini picnic! I admired those napkins when I was working at Anthropologie, and happily snatched a couple up when they went on sale a few months ago. They're so cute! I want to use more napkins in my food photos.

A cute drawing mapping the introvert's heart.

I want to spend a weekend at the majestic bus!!

The obsessive-compulsive in me loves this.

+ The evolution of a homemade cat tower.
+ Eight truths that are good for everyone to know.
+ I really enjoyed reading about this most epic fart.
+ Random acts of kindness give me faith in humanity.
+ You should really listen to the cover of Radiohead's Creep as a vintage soul song.

Happy Friday!!

When is an apple not an apple?

dress: El Quetzal / sweater: Anthropologie / shoes: store in Savannah, GA / purse: Anthropologie

...when it's a pineapple! Dehhhh. I had so many different routes to go when choosing a title for this post... between the show Psych, the movie Pineapple Express, and the cartoon Spongebob Squarepants... well, you can see my dilemma. I went with a corny joke, of course.

Pardon my dressing room selfie... it's the clearest shot I could get of this lovely outfit. This dress is the cutest! As soon as I saw the print, I knew I'd be unable to resist it. It's also a plus that the fit is very flattering (albeit a little shorter than my usual dresses, but hey, flaunt those legs!). Pineapples always remind me of the two weeks my family and I spent in Hawaii. I think we ate at least one pineapple a day while we were there - they're just so damn tasty down there!

Other things to note: I bought this sweater in the winter and it's still one of my favorites. It's supposed to be tied in the front but I always tie it in the back and wear it like a cardigan. It's also light enough that I can wear it pretty much all year round! Also, my hair is in braids! That is quite the accomplishment. This growing-out-the-pixie-cut project is only going to get better and easier from here on out.

Now go eat a pineapple.

The Cat Life - 6

Monday, August 18

Lloyd has been silly lately. First, he endorsed Flying Fish Brewery. (Sorry, buddy, there are no actual fish in there!) Then he decided that the dishwasher was a good place to settle in for a while. He's done that again since that photo was taken! Sylvester just goes along with his antics. I guess he figures there's no point in arguing with siblings because it's not like they're going to listen anyway.

Week in Photos: Week 33

Sunday, August 17

Looking up.

Breakfast in a jar, in a bag.

It's the perfect season for s'mores!

Sylvester and his selfies.

Something does not belong here. (Oh, Shawn!)

So many eggs!

I love that it's been cool enough outside to roast things inside.

World news versus national news. (Sad news all around.)

Those are some majorly large zucchini!

Breakfast for dinner!

I love when the sky looks like this! I took a video of the clouds moving.

My parents came to visit today and met Sylvester for the first time. Lloyd was being antisocial and Sylvester took in all of the attention like usual. We ate too much for lunch, like usual. My parents live in Switzerland, so it's always nice to get to spend some time with them when they make the trip out here. My siblings only live an hour and a half drive away but I feel like I see my parents more often than I see them sometimes! I suppose that's just what happens when you all get older and start leading your own lives though. Regardless, a little family time is always a good time.

Hope you had an awesome week!!
