The Cat Life - Together

It has taken almost a year, but Lloyd has finally accepted Sylvester as part of the family. Though he has always been friendly with him, it hasn't been until recently that I've caught them really hanging out together. You won't find them curled up on the couch together, but they have been sleeping pretty close to each other in mirrored poses. Progress! It makes me happy to see them embracing this brotherhood we've imposed upon them.

Most of the photos from last week were taken at work... we spent the week prepping for Mother's Day tea, and then I came in on Sunday to help work it. I'll be writing up a little post with photos from that soon! You guys don't get to see much of my work on here except for close ups of pastries every now and then. I thought April pastries were more colorful, but these photos don't seem to tell that story... regardless, I tried some new recipes that I think will work well for the shop and I'm excited to make them again. May is a whole new month (with hopefully more color!) and this week is all about prepping for mother's day tea. I'll be making some fun things, and I'll be working the tea on Sunday, so I'll actually get some photos of the tiers with everything on them! Can't wait to share :)

I rode a bike for the first time in 5+ years! Then I stopped in our small local park on my way home, and found out they do free dance and yoga classes in the evenings. I love spring-time in this town!

Last week was kind of a boring week for photos... but that's because I've been doing things outside and completely forgetting to take photos! It's a tough habit to get into... I still feel embarrassed or strange about taking photos out in public. There's no real reason for me to feel that way, but I do. Hopefully I'll come around though! With the amount of photos I take inside our apartment, you'd think I would have posted an apartment tour by now....
