Lloyd & Sylvester

Lloyd

We adopted Lloyd in July 2013. He came all the way from Ohio! I first saw Lloyd on Kaylah's blog, The Dainty Squid; he was a stray cat that she would feed and photograph on a regular basis. Kaylah had been hoping that one of her many readers would step up and adopt him, but after noticing that in over a year no one had offered to take him in, I contacted her about it. One thing led to another and soon enough Shawn and I drove out to State College, Pennsylvania to meet Kaylah and Lloyd. It was love at first sight! Since then, he's become an integral part of the family. He's smart, mellow, curious, and he absolutely loves boxes of any kind.

Sylvester

In June 2014 we found a friend for Lloyd. Our local pet store teams up with PALS, a local animal rescue society, and they always have cats up for adoption. I noticed Sylvester one weekend and their representative told me that he had already been there one week... he was chatty and very affectionate, and I told myself that if he was still there the next time I went in, I would pick up an application. Well, of course when I went in later that week I noticed that he still hadn't been adopted, so the woman gave me an application to take home and I told Shawn to go in and check him out. Once Shawn met him, he was smitten, and one week later he came home with us. He's incredibly talkative, loves to lay on people and have his head rubbed, and he does not like being in an empty room.
